An intimate Ucluelet wedding at the Black Rock Resort
I was so excited to be back at the Black Rock Resort for M + J’s Ucluelet intimate wedding! Meghan and Jordan had a big wedding planned in Coombs for 2020. Unfortunately, the pandemic had other plans for them, so they had to scrap their original wedding and come up with something new. A few months later, they had to pick a new date yet again due to more COVID restrictions. In the end, I think we went through about four different versions of this wedding, and each new plan kept falling through. It was heartbreaking. I felt so bad for these two – they just wanted to get married already!
Let's do this! (For real this time)
Finally, a year later than originally planned, M + J tied the knot at the beautiful Black Rock Resort in Ucluelet. Although the weather can be unpredictable on the west coast of Vancouver Island in the fall (there was a massive rain and wind storm the night before their wedding!), we ended up with the most gorgeous sunny weather. The whole day felt like it was meant to be.
Meghan is expecting a baby in the winter, so we had to sneak in a few bump shots throughout the day; these are my favourites! How stunning is she?! I absolutely loved working with these two and exploring the Wild Pacific Trail for their epic portraits. Thank you M + J!
